Senior Results
There were several stellar performances at the Midland Road Relays, with Bristol & West well represented across the men’s and women’s races.
Men
A team – 2nd place

Highlights included Flynn Jennings producing the fastest time of the day on the opening leg, while M40 star Jonny Thewlis ran strongly on leg 2. Dylan Rigby was 4th fastest on stage 3, Alex Stewart 8th on stage 4, Jack Millar 3rd on leg 5, and Milan Campion set the fastest time overall on the final leg to secure 2nd place.
B team – 16th overall and 2nd B team

Returning from injury, Hugh Sadler got the B team underway in 16th, while veteran M40 Adam Stokes stood out for the C team with a 17:48 leg – only 3 seconds slower than Owain Jones’ impressive second leg for the B.

Women
A team – 5th place

Chelsea Baker produced an astonishing run to lead the field home on leg 1 with the 2nd fastest time of the day. Amy Hammersley extended the lead with the 4th fastest split on leg 2. On debut, Amelia Williams impressed on leg 3, holding 3rd with the 8th fastest time. Finally, British W50 marathon record holder and former National gold medallist Annabel Granger battled against younger chasers, producing a remarkable run to bring the team home in 5th with the 11th fastest leg of the day.
B team – 13th overall and 1st B team

Maria Jones opened for the B team after a fine track season, finishing 26th. Eleanor Carney gained 5 places on leg 2, while newcomers Hannah Hall and Kathryn Gurney finished strongly, Kat storming through on the final leg to gain 6 places with a big personal best.
A total of 94 women’s teams competed.
Junior Results
Junior Boys
Ali’s young squad kicked off the winter season in real style, with Henry, Charlie and Oscar combining superbly to take Gold despite their relative inexperience. Their summer training clearly paid off. The B team also ran with real determination and should be proud of their efforts at this high level.
Junior Girls
21 Bristol & West girls made the trip to Sutton Park, with teams entered across all junior age groups.
U13 team (Izzy Di Bartolo, Florence Sanigar, Cara Daly) – 13th of 39 teams.
U15 A team (Darcy Simpson, Beatrix Reveler, Lola Simpson) – Gold.
U15 B team (Eve Ward, Isla Brown, Scarlett Smith).
U15 C team (Katrina Wong, Loretta Chowdhury Barratt, Mya Cronin).
U17 A team (Gabi Ritter Sherratt, Ellie Weston, Imogen Sparrow).
U17 B team (Mairi Carver Brown, Amira Chowdhury Barratt, Millie Pope).
U17 C team (Emma Knight-Lebel, Lucy Wilkinson, Megan Purdie).
The U15 A team produced one of the standout performances of the day. On leg 1, Darcy Simpson brought the team home in 8th, just 23 seconds off the medals. Beatrix Reveler then delivered the run of her life, surging through to 1st on leg 2 and handing over with a 16-second lead. On anchor, Lola Simpson held her nerve, running the 4th fastest leg of the day to secure victory in 43:36.
From senior medals to junior golds, the day was full of standout performances and plenty of promise for the season ahead. With athletes competing strongly across all age groups, Bristol & West once again showed strength in depth at the Midland Road Relays – and celebrated with plenty of cake to finish.
