Bourton 10k

There were some good results in Bourton-on-the-Water on Sunday. In their second 10k’s of the year, Marcus Dunsford finished 6th in 33:03 and Neil Kennedy 26th in 34:41. In the V40 category, Gareth Clements (35:54) finished 7th, and Darren Garman (37:37) 8th in the age group above. Graham Crump (47:38) 14th V60 home and Mike Chipping (45:09) 2nd V70. The women's race increases in five year age brackets and starts at V35 (as opposed to ten year age brackets starting at V40 for the men). Ruth Nunn (49:18) maximised this by finishing 7th in the V35 age group. We had three V60 women in the race - Jill Harrison (43:30, 2nd), Felicity Russell (47:08, 5th) and Sian Davies (48:19, 6th) - an impressive performance from Jill just three days after joining B&W! In the age categories above, Christine Rose (V65) placed 2nd in 48:12 and Anne Dockery (48:39) finished 1st V70. Congratulations to Jill and Christine in securing their spot in the England Masters 10k team for the Bristol 10k!

A shout also to our top-3 parkrun age grade results in February, with Anne Dockery's 24:11 run at Chipping Sodbury securing a 96.83% age grade, with Phil Parry in second with 17:46 (89.49%) also at Chipping Sodbury. Closing out our top-3 in February, was Matthew Robinson at Burnham and Highbridge Parkrun, with a 1745 (88.08%) clocking.
