Whether you are an experienced athlete or new to the sport, and whatever discipline you are training for, we have a session for you.

MEMBER FEES

All club members will be issued with a QR code which should be used to register your attendance at reception (when training at Whitehall). Paid up club members are eligible to purchase quarterly season tickets (the best option for regular attendees, find out more), or pay £2.50 per training session (£2.00 for junior members).


You must bring a contactless payment method, such as a debit card or mobile phone if you wish to pay-as-you-go, cash will not be accepted.

GUEST FEES

Guests are welcome to train with us on a one-off basis. All guests will be charged the non-member fee of £5.00 per training session. 

For the best rates, become a member by clicking the link below and following the instructions. Members are eligible to purchase season tickets (find out more) or pay the reduced, pay-as-you-go, track fees.

SEASON TICKETS

The cheapest way to pay for regular training sessions is with our quarterly season tickets.

HOW IT WORKS
  • Season tickets are available on a fixed, quarterly, basis. Season tickets cover the periods:

    • 1st February (the beginning of our membership year) - 30th April​

    • 1st May - 31st July

    • 1st August - 31st October

    • 1st November - 31st January

  • You should purchase or renew your season ticket at the end of each period, ready for the start of the next.​

  • Season tickets are not extendable and not refundable

  • To purchase a season ticket, log into your LoveAdmin account here, and follow the step-by-step guide here.

  • Season ticket holders may attend Bristol and West AC training sessions any number of times per week

ENDURANCE

Bristol and West AC boasts a rich heritage in endurance running across all levels of the sport, thanks to our dedicated endurance coaches and excellent facilities

Through access to local, regional and national level competition we provide opportunities for endurance athletes of all levels to compete and put their training into practice. We regularly field large teams in the local Gwent Cross Country League, Midland and National Cross-Country Championships, National and Regional Road Relay Championships, Cotswold Relays, and many more. â€‹

​

In recent years the club has enjoyed success across all groups, including National 12 Stage Road Relays Silver, Midland Road Relays Gold and National Cross-Country Championships Bronze, demonstrating our immense strength in depth at the elite end of the sport.

​

Track athletes also have the opportunity to represent Bristol and West AC in the Midland Athletics League and National Athletics League.

​

Our endurance coaches are nationally recognised as some of the best in the country, they include coach Mike Down, who recently won the BMC Lifetime services to coaching award, Chris Elson who has been a leading endurance coach for several decades and Alison Hurford who continues to champion our junior endurance squad to age group success.

​

Recreational runners are also welcomed by the club to make use of our fantastic coaching team and facilities and are encouraged to enjoy and support local competitions.

​

SPRINTS & HURDLES

Our experienced sprints and hurdles coaches offer training sessions every week, for all ages and levels of experience.

We have a range of coaches who aim to meet the needs of different groups. Training sessions take place at Whitehall Athletics Track - see our Training Timetable above for more details.

Our athletes compete in the local and national track and field leagues, including:  

  • Youth Development League (U13 - U20 age groups)

  • Avon Track and Field League (all age groups)

  • Midland League (U20, U23, Seniors)

  • National Athletics League – (U20, U23, Seniors)

  • Masters Midland Athletics Competition (35+)

JUMPS

Reach new heights with our dedicated jumps coaches

Whether you are new to athletics and want to try something different, or you are striving for PB's, our high-jump, long-jump and pole vault coaches are here to help.

​

Facilities at our training hub at Whitehall athletics track include:

​

  • 2 x long-jump pits with full length run ways

  • Covered high-jump and pole vault mats

  • Training equipment such as medicine balls, jump blocks, etc.

  • Strength and conditioning area including free weights.

​

THROWS

Experienced throws coaches and fantastic training facilities

Our dedicated throws coaches, headed up by the experienced Paul Filer, are here to help you perfect your technique ‘and prepare the body for the rigours of throwing far. If you are gearing up for a big competition, or just starting something new, we can help you reach your potential.

Facilities at our training hub at Whitehall athletics track include:

​

  • Competition standard hammer/discus cage

  • Shot-put circle 

  • 2 x javelin runways

  • Training equipment such as javelins, hammers, shots, discuses, measuring tapes, etc

  • Strength and conditioning area including free weights.

​
