Sunday Sessions

In addition to the above the group offers LONG STEADY (AEROBIC) SUNDAY RUNS

Two groups, which usually include Roger Brocklesby (roger.brocklesby@btopenworld.com), Emma Withers, Colin Traer, Dave Engledew and Andy Malloy meet on Sundays at 9.30 a.m. in the Courtyard outside the cafe at Ashton Court and aim to run for around 10 miles, with a second group running 6 to 8 miles at a slower pace (followed by coffee). Occasionally the group arranges to start at another venue but Alison Engledew (a.engledew@blueyonder.co.uk) who coordinates the group always posts information on her Facebook page and on the ‘Long Ashton Running Group’ Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/groups/186093084749610/ .

North Bristol Running Group

North Bristol Running Group (NBRG) is a friendly group of runners of mixed abilities. They usually meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, subject to various races such as Aztec West 5K, Weston Prom etc. Tuesday evening is a shorter run of 5K, Wednesday tends to be a steady 10k, Thursday is a faster 6 – 8 miles. They tend to split into two groups to cater for faster and slower runners and everyone is welcome. Alan Wilcox the Group Leader is trying to set up a running group to cater for those who can’t run in the evening due to family commitments and has started a ‘school run’ on some weekday mornings at about 09:15. The group runs from the GP Surgery, Brook Way, Bradley Stoke.
