Bristol & West AC is the leading all-round athletics club in the Southwest of England, providing coaching and competition for the widest range of events, all age groups and all abilities, throughout the year.

From running for fun to international excellence, from road running and cross country to track and field - indoors and out -  we are an open and friendly club whose aim is to help you to achieve your potential and enjoy our great sport.

Officials' Education

All athletics competition is regulated by the graded or technical officials - timekeepers, judges, marshalls etc. -who ensure that the rules of competition are applied equally and fairly to all competitors.

Our club is an important contributor to the large number of volunteer officials in the region, playing a key role in the organisation of competitive events in cooperation with other clubs and associations in Bristol, Avon county and the South West.

We wish to increase this contribution by recruiting and training more officials to help our sport to grow. We encourage those interested to complete the necessary and short courses to become qualified. The club and the county association provide financial assistance for the completion of the officials' courses held locally.
