Stacks of PBs at sunny Fast 5000s

Bristol and West ACs Fast 5000s was held for the third year at Yate AC’s bouncy new track at the Yate Outdoor Sports Complex on Saturday 27th July. The event was once again a success with athletes and spectators attending from around the South West and further afield.
Athletes on the track in race C, won in 15.57 by Jack Williams of Southampton
In total 130 athletes competed, with 86 (66%) beating their previous personal bests.
The A race was won by Bristol and West’s Kurt Taylor, with a new PB in a time of 14:42. The fastest women was Lucy Marland of Cardiff AC, with a time of 17:33. In total 8 graded races were held, paced to suit a wide range of runners.
Special thanks go to the officials, volunteers and pacemakers who made the event possible. We also thank Rude Health and Beet-It for providing prizes.
