under 15s – Paul Owen reports
U15 girls hit the road running.
B team = Kitty Freeman Edmondson (38th + 17.44) putting in a better performance that she thought herself. Onto Carmen Chance (32nd 17.53) improving us by 6 places with a solid run. Anchor leg over to Grace Claridge (30th + 17.19) improving by 2 places and demonstrating a cracking spring finish.
All the girls said they enjoyed the day and as always their new hoodies!! Lovely to see the girls racing and also particularly enjoyed my Chicken Nuggets on the way home.
under 13s – Helen Clark reports
The u13 girls set off from a wet Bristol morning at 7am for their very first team event with a mix of nerves and excitement! We had one team for this age category made up of three girls. Niamh Rowe was first up on leg 1 very excited and raring to go, taking on some tough competition, she crossed the line at 21:28. Ruby Claridge was next, ready and waiting for the takeover on leg 2 and ran a brilliant 20:52. Olivia Tarr took over on the third leg and demonstrated some strong running with a time of 21:24. All girls finished with a smile and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
