On the way up to London it was a muggy but very cloudy morning but come the start at 10.00 a.m. it was the bright hot, sunny day that was forecast and many runners found the conditions less than ideal. The Men’s Team finished eighteenth in the British Championships being led home by Owain JONES who finished fifty-seventh in 31:48, Andy CHAMBERS was second scorer in eighty-sixth place in 32:23 with Harry ALLEN third club finisher in 11th place in 32:57. However this result omits Luke EVANS who ran 32:13 so will need amending. These four were supported by Andy SALMON who ran a fine PB of 33:02 and was so close to his target of a sub-33 minute run. Behind him Maciej BIALOGONSKI clocked 34:19 and Mark EDWARDS 34:52.

At present the Ladies don’t appear on the team result list but our calculations are that with Fiona MARKS running 37:58, Olivia SADLER running 38:37 and Catie O’DONOGHUE running 39:28 the team should appear on the results in eleventh position with a total time of 1 Hour 56 minutes and 3 seconds. Eleanor DAVIS was well placed early on but decided to stop when her Achilles tendons started tightening.
