Minor Boys Race.
Although Ali was absent on the day this did not stop her young team from getting on with the business and clearly they are becoming more independent when it matters. As expected they all ran like troopers and packed very tightly as follows. Eoin O’Halloran in fourth place, Jay Hunt was sixth, Fred Cummins in seventh and Misha Evans in eighth.
It was a real shame that both Tomek Czerepinski and Ishmael Bradley were suffering from flu as they would have definitely been in the mix.
Junior Boys Race
Perhaps the best performance of the squad came from Joseph Hull who was a late call up having originally been a reserve for the junior boys race.
Perhaps going off with a bit too much enthusiasm Joseph hung in well to finish a very creditable fifteenth beating many boys from the year above. He certainly ran to his potential justifying his place in the team.
Overall this result bodes well for the Midland championships in Wollaton Park, Nottingham next Saturday (27th January 2018)t, the lads just have to run with confidence.
