Last season Simran KAUR was running for Redland Green School in local Bristol Schools events. A year on and she had her first experience of global competition running in the World Para Athletics Junior Championships in Nottwil from 3rd to 6th August 2017.
Simran took silver in the 100 metres in the T42 to T47 category (Simran is categorised as T46) clocking 13.58 as she finished just over a tenth of a second behind Beatriz Hatz of the USA who clocked 13.46. In the 200 metres Simran took bronze clocking 28.83 for a PB (with a legal wind) at 200 metres; the event was again won by the American with Beatriz Hatz clocking 28.06.
