Weekend Round-Up of Men’s Track and Field Results – 20th and 21st May 2017

Some track and field results from the weekend: the star of the show was Tom Gale who cleared 2.22 metres for joint-third at the Loughborough International for GB Juniors. This jump is the best by a British Junior for 3 years and puts him equal second in the world and equal first in Europe, with several good attempts to 2.26 metres under his belt too!

Also competing well at Loughborough were Chris Stone with a 100 metres Season’s Best of 10.57, Scott Bajere with a 100 metre Season’s Best of 10.75, Freddie Owsley with his best 200 metres since 2015 at 21.80 and Harry Lane with his fourth best steeplechase ever at 9:17.50.

We also had Jack Bancroft and Zak Tobias competing at Highgate in the National 10,000 metres Championships on Saturday – Zak was eleventh in the B race with an excellent PB of 30:30.99, while Jack didn’t go quite as he wanted with a 31:39.19 clocking.
