After joining the club just over a year ago our young athlete Simran Kaur has received an invitation to compete for England this weekend (Sunday 21st May 2017) at the Loughborough International. This is the first step on her way to becoming, we hope, a GB athlete. No pressure Simran. Her development has been rapid and we hope she will continue to develop and make her goal of the 2020 games in Tokyo . But before that with a drop in time from 14.4 to 13.25w for the 100 metres, Simran is aware that she will need to run 12.9 or better to make her goal of the European Games in Switzerland this August. With her determination to learn her Bio mechanics ,develop her strength and focus, she has the ability to turn her desire into her reality.
I feel sure that all of us in the club would wish her all the very best of luck .
