The decent weather brought the crowds out on Saturday and this included a record attendance of 624 at Ashton Court. Despite these numbers, three Club members managed to dodge the rest of the field and record a PB. Paul JEFFERSON finished in fifth position in a time of 18:10, a PB by four seconds. This was his first PB since September 2014 and earns him the Performance of the Week. Will JONES had a time of 21:06, a PB by 51 seconds. Isie BATES was the first SW30-34, her time of 22:56 being an improvement of thirty-three seconds on her previous best. Alan WILCOX just failed in his bid for a sub 20-minute time, missing out by three seconds. Nicola BROOKLAND was the first female with a time of 18:41.
Andrew DRAKE was the first finisher at Chipping Sodbury in a time of 17:49, and there was a PB for Paul SMARDON with his time of 20:48, being a nineteen second improvement.
There were three PBs at Pomphrey Hill, by Darren STRINGER, Jemima DUTTON and Barry Mills, with times of 20:19, 25:11 and 26:36 respectively.
Further afield. Mark BURLEY, a regular parkrun tourist, was second finisher at Cwmbran in 18:41. Ruth TREDGET was third female at Killerton in 22:04 and Bruce SELLERS’ time of 19:28 at Congleton was a PB by 16 seconds.
