Three Hundred and Seventy-Nine individuals and thirty-sixth teams finished the Under-15 Boy’s race in the National Cross-Country Championships and Bristol & West finished twenty-sixth team with 931 points. First athlete home in two hundredth place was Fred HAWKER in 17:18, followed by Luke ILES in 233rd place in 17:38. Lewis ADAMSON was just two seconds behind as he finished in 240th in 17:40 with Robert KIEKUTH completing the scoring team in 258th place in 17:54 – this gives some idea of how tightly packed the fields are in that 16 seconds covered 25 places. Nathan MARCHANT was our first non-scorer finishing 274th in 18:10. Flynn BAKER finished 288th in 18:21 and Otto KINGSTON finished 351st in 19:47 to complete our finishers. It was a long day but the team was in high spirits and all seemed to enjoy what was a challenging course. Most will run their final cross-country race of the season at the Gwent League this coming Saturday (4th March 2017).
