Club Development Adviser Team Manages England Under-20 Cross-Country Team

As reported on the Blog a couple of weeks ago Club Development Adviser Keith Brackstone was asked to team manage the England Under-20 Men’s Team in Spain for the Caceres Cross-Country on Sunday 12th February 2017. Keith first started running in September 1965 and gained his first coaching qualification in 1979, the year after he joined Bristol & West (or Bristol Athletic Club as it then was). Keith has a wide variety of team management experience including 14 years as Manager of the Royal Air Force Road Running Team from 1984 to 1998 and 8 years as Bristol & West Women’s Senior Cross-Country Team Manager from 2009 to today. However, this was his first foray into international team management and a successful one it was as the England Team of four filled the first four places in the race. The team was made up of Hugo Milner (Derby) first, Archie Rayner (Mansfield) second, Tom Mortimer (Stroud) third and Jake Berry (Medway & Maidstone Athletic Club) fourth.
