Senior Men Take Bronze at National Cross-Country Relays on Saturday 5th November 2016

Jack MILLAR led out for the Senior Men at Mansfield on Sunday 5th November 2016 at an event where the club’s best result in recent years had been a third place. With the usual team manager’s nightmare of withdrawals in the week leading up to the event Mike Down was not expecting a repeat of this feat in 2016. Jack brought the team home in thirty-sixth place in 16:00 on what is always a very competitive first leg. Will CHRISTOFI gave the team a massive lift as his 15:12 clocking brought the team home in fourteenth place on Leg 2. On Leg 3 Owain JONES clocked 15:49 despite having had limited training in the last few weeks due to niggles as he handed over in sixth place. On the last lap Richard PETERS clocked 15:31 to lift the team into third place for a well earned bronze medal nine seconds clear of Cambridge & Coleridge.

‘B’ team and age group results will be added as soon as they are available.
