National Women’s Road Relay – The Vice-Chairman’s View

10 Oct
Kate Hulls produced the performance of her life to clock the day’s fastest time in the National women’s 4-stage championship and prove that she is now in real international class.
Her time of 13:58 was nearly a quarter of a minute quicker than the next best by international Jessica Judd (14:11) and only two seconds slower than the club’s best ever set by Olympian Kate Reed when Bristol and West last won the title in 2005.
Unfortunately they were unable to capitalise on Kate’s brilliant effort that saw her lift them 35 places from 39th to 4th as  they were a runner short due to a spate of injuries.
