Emily Diamond Through to Olympic 400 Metres Semi-Final

Despite having to shrug off food poisoning Emily Diamond made it through to the semi-finals of the 2016 Rio Olympics 400 metres for women with a fourth place finish in Heat 5 in 51.76 (half a second slower than her 51.23 PB) which saw her qualify as a fastest loser. Emily has drawn Lane 1 in the second of three semi-finals and, for those interesting in watching, her race is due off at 00:42 a.m. on Monday 15th August 2016. Everyone at the club wishes her well.
