Seven of the club’s middle distance and endurance runners headed for Oxford on Saturday 23rd July 2016 for the British Milers’ Club Grand Prix, where  Caspar ELIOT made another appearance over 800 metres to finish fourth in the ‘E’ race in 1:54.31 just outside his PB as Adam SPEAKE finished seventh in the same race in 1:56.42. Miles CHANDLER also ran some under-distance work clocking 1:59.02 for seventh place in the ‘I’ race to register a new PB.

Mike WILSMORE finished fifth in the ‘A’ mile race in 4:05.77 (a race which saw Andy Baddeley back in competition and recording a sub-4 minute mile). Hugh SADLER finished ninth in the under-17 mile clocking 4:29.39.

Zak TOBIAS was our sole representative in the 5,000metre races finishing third in the ‘B’ race in 14:43.65 just a couple of seconds behind the winner and not too far off his PB.

Our sole lady competitor could hardly have got closer to her PB: Charlotte GREEN finished second in the Women’s ‘B’ 800 metres in 2:06.98 – her current PB is 2:06.96!
