For no apparent reason, numbers were down slightly at both Ashton Court and Little Stoke – however – the number of races in the previous week might have had an impact. There were twenty-six club runners at Ashton Court on a cool morning, with a threat of rain in the air. This fortunately held off until everyone had finished. There were three PBs from Graham Grout, Rob Colman and Christopher Herbert. It was Graham’s first PB since May 2013, and this earns him the Performance of the Week title for this week.
Gordon Everett, Carron Downer, Tanya Chowdhury, Jennifer Owsley, Emma Withers and Alison Engledew were all first in their Age Categories.
Further afield, Pete Gandon and Dan Schofield were first overall at Keswick and Pomphrey Hill and Emma Bowers is running well down in Sydney. Claire Hallissey, Deborah Niccol and Becky James were first females at St Albans, Melbourne and Little Stoke respectively.
Ben Haines, John O’Dwyer, and Karen Owen led the way in their Age Categories at Little Stoke, as did Harry Clayton at Plymvalley and Rebecca Colquhoun at Keswick.
The best Age Grade performance for the club, this week, was that of Clare Hallissey with 85.40% at St Albans.
