Helper and Official Support – Club Events in May and June 2014

Avon League – Yate Outdoor Sports Centre – Sunday 25th May 2014.

The club is required to provide a track judge, a time-keeper and a qualified field judge to lead the Hammer (under-15 Boys/Under-17 Men from 12.55), the Long Jump (Under-15 Girls from 2.20) and the Javelin (Under-17 Men/Senior Men from 4.10). The throws need 4 assistants whereas you can manage with 3 for the Long Jump. In addition we are required to provide 2 people to help with the under-11 events from around 11.45 to 2.10.

Youth Development League (Lower Age Group) – Kip Keino Athletic Stadium – Saturday 31st May 2014

The club is hosting this event and needs to provide:

An announcer – this role could be shared by two people.

A starters assistant i.e. Marksman – two would be better than one.

A timekeeper – this could be shared by two people.

A Qualified Field Judge for the Hammer Under-15 Girls and Under-15 Boys at 11.00 a.m., the Under-13 Boys Long Jump at 1.00 p.m. and the Under-13 Girls’ Shot Putt at 2.30 p.m.

Field judging helpers (a minimum of at least four).

A Field Equipment Officer to assist the Field Referee, this is necessary from 10 a.m. onwards.

A hurdle movement team of at least four to set out, move and put away for sprint races programmed from 10.30 to 12.30.

Helpers with officials’ refreshment provision/supervision at least two. Food and drinks will be provided in the portakabin adjacent to the track.

A results recorder and assistant to help resolve any queries and display results.

Altogether we are looking for at least 17 officials and helpers.

Bristol & West Open Meeting – Kip Keino Athletic Stadium – Tuesday 17th June 2014

An announcer – this role could be shared by two people.

A starters assistant i.e. marksman – two would be better than one.

At least four timekeepers but preferably six.

At least four track judges but preferably six.

At least four qualified field judges plus field judging helpers (a minimum of at least four per team) for a throws team, a high jump team, a horizontal jumps team and a pole vault team.

A Field Equipment Officer to assist the Field Referee, this is necessary from 6 p.m. onwards.

A results recorder and assistant to help resolve any queries and display results.

Altogether we are looking for 33 officials and helpers for this event.
