Highgate Harriers Night of the 10,000m PBs incorporating British Athletics 10,000m Championships & England Championships – 10th May 2014 (programme starts 5pm)
Parliament Hill Athletics Track, NW5 1QR, London
Martin Rush (Event Lead for Endurance at British Athletics) is pleased to announce the details of a major 10,000 metre track event being promoted by Highgate Harriers in partnership with British and England Athletics. The event is the Championship race for British and English titles and is the trial for the European Championships, and a potential opportunity for Commonwealth Games and European Cup qualifying performances. Building on the successful event Ben Pochee and Highgate Harriers organised in 2012 the aim is to further develop an early season 10,000 metre track opportunity that affords athletes a chance to run personal bests and raise the standards of British long distance track running at ALL levels. There will be 5 races organised on the night with an elite Men’s and Women’s race being run separately. Ben is ensuring that there will be an atmosphere to back up the status of the races. The outside lanes will be closed down to ensure the crowd is close to the action and as with last year there will be live commentary and music.
Entries and current details are available through http://gb.athletics-uk.org/ There is a cost of £15 per entry for ALL.
If you wish to compete please let Martin know by sending a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
There will be further announcements regarding who is racing and more details as the event approaches.
