London Games – Lee Valley – High Jump – 26th January 2014

We must supplement Monday’s round up because the Power of 10 failed to record excellent High Jumping from Bristol &West’s two star female jumpers this past weekend.  It would be remiss of us to let really good Club performances go unreported!

Hayley PITMAN led the British side of the Competition at Lee Valley with an outstanding 1.77 metre clearance.  In fact she was only beaten into second place by a foreign athlete.  This all sets Hayley up well for her International debut in the Czech Republic next weekend in the Moravian High Jump Tour.  Competition will be of the highest standard so we wish Hayley the very best of luck and hope that she can return with another 1.80 jump under her belt.

Amelia HEMPLEMAN-ADAMS (Under-20) also emerged with a season’s best performance at Lee Valley clearing a solid 1.64 metres.  Well done Amelia, you are following the Master very well.  Amelia hopes to leave the UK to engage in Volunteer work in about a month so we trust that she enjoys the experience and returns ready for an interesting summer of competition.
