Will Christofi Produces Strong Run at Liverpool Cross Challenge

26 Nov

Perhaps it was seeing him warm up in an Oxford University track suit that threw me off the trail but I owe sincere apologies to Will Christofi who wasn’t mentioned in my first write-up of the Liverpool cross-challenge. Will was another who started steadily and found that it paid dividends as he worked his way through the field to finish a very creditable seventeenth in 21.07 in the Junior Men’s race an agonising 12 seconds outside the top 10 and probably only 30 seconds off a GB Team place. Will has always shown promise but this must rank as his outstanding run to date and given the group he has to work with at Oxford hopefully there will be more to come if he can find the right balance between his running and his academic studies.
