More news from the Gwent League at Bridgend – Sunday 10th November 2013

14 Nov

Team performance of the day must go to the Under-13 Girls led by Isobel Leeming. Isobel has taken a liking to running from the front and although slipping to fifth on the Bridgend course, showed an 8 place improvement from the first fixture at Pontypool.

Isobel was chased hard to the line by the fast finishing Nancy Dineen who underlined her current form with another fine run in seventh place. However, it was Olivia Croft who produced the surprise of the day running her first Cross Country of the winter finishing in 12th. We didn’t have to wait long before Miss Consistent Emily Moore completed the Team in 34th position. We now have to wait to see if the performance the day’s performance lifts the Squad into the Medal positions.

In the U15’s race Hannah Dyer was buoyed by the support of both Bristol and Westbury supporters as she finished a creditable 36th.

Jessica Monk continues to race her way to fitness with another good performance finishing 24th in the combined U17/U20 Ladies race.  While Miranda Sadler matched her fifth place finish from Pontypool in the same race.
