Wesport are now pleased to announce the release of both the event photos and the summary video from the Celebration of Sport Evening held on Thursday 24th October 2013 – for further information please see their web-site. The evening was notable for the fact that Hilary Nash was chosen as Volunteer of the Year, whilst Mike Strange was short-listed for the award of Official of the Year and Lucy Bryan was short-listed for the Young Performer of the Year Award. After winning Club of the Year in 2012, the club also made the short-list for the same award in 2013.
Wesport have already started the planning process for the 2014 Celebration of Sport Evening – let’s hope the club can keep its record of Winners and Short-listed candidates going as the Club and Chris Elson won awards in 2012 and Hilary Nash was Volunteer of the Year this year.
