Saltford Santa Dash – Sunday 8th December 2013

A brand new race event is being launched this December – the Saltford Santa Dash! The five-mile race – for entrants dressed in Santa outfits – will take place on Sunday 8th December 2013 and will wind in a figure-of-eight course through the picturesque lanes of Saltford. There will also be a family-friendly one-mile race for Santa’s little helpers – so sign up your under-12s too. On the race website (http://www.saltfordsantadash.webs.com.) you will find course details. All Santa and Elf suits are included in the price £12 for adults and £5 for children, plus you can enter on line or by post.

The Saltford Santa Dash is proud to be raising money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) after the tragic death in 2009 of Jack Boulton – a Saltford teenager who died of cardiac arrest while playing football. For more information on the race please contact saltfordsantadash@gmail.com or look at the event flyer at http://www.bristolandwestac.org/downloads/race-details-and-entry-forms/ .

Club members should be aware that this is the date of the Gwent League cross-country at Bath University (and possible Avon County Championships) and that the Bath event is a club priority. However, the Saltford event is likely to appeal to the club’s recreational runners.
