Ashton Court 10k and Bristol Cross-Challenge – 26th and 27th October 2013

As has been the case in the last couple of years Bristol will be the proud hosts of the first leg of the UK Cross-Challenge in Ashton Court – this year on Sunday 27th October 2013. Further details of the Cross-Challenge can be found at

http://www.runbristol.com/McCainXCountry/88/Race-Information.aspx

On the same weekend RunBristol will be promoting the Ashton Court 10k and further details can be found at

The series is no longer sponsored by McCain but is being supported by British Athletics. I would ask all club members to get behind the event or the Ashton Court 10k the day before as the club is heavily involved in promoting this weekend of off-road events in Ashton Court and the Sunday races include the Mike Sully Memorial Trophy for the winner of the Senior Men’s event and the Gemma Butler Bowl for the winner of the Senior Ladies’ event. These two trophies commemorate club members who died at a very young age. So if you don’t want to compete please volunteer and help the club stage these prestigious events – if you are able to help please contact Keith Brackstone.
