On a much cooler Saturday morning than recent weeks, there were 222 runners, and twenty-two from Bristol and West.
We also had some PBs this week. Jarlath McKenna was first overall and that combined with a PB earns him the Performance of the Week. Other PBs were recorded by Helen Cooper and Alexander Whittaker.
It was also Margaret Salter’s fiftieth parkrun, appropriately celebrated with a supply of home baked flap jacks.
There is a long way to go in this year’s points competitions. However, Stuart Watkins, Pete Mountain and Tom Watkins are second, third and fourth in the men’s completion. In the women’s event Emma Withers and Alison Engledew are second and third respectively.
