Whitehall Runner Dies in Tragic Motorcycle Accident

Skyler Hadley trained with Whitehall Runners on Mondays and his aim was to run the London Marathon 2103. The club is extremely sorry to report that Skyler was killed in a motorcycle accident on 5th May 2013 whilst riding to work on the A46. Skyler had recently achieved his goal of running the London Marathon and the ‘Virgin Giving’ page he was using to collect sponsorship for the London Marathon, which he finished in 5hours and 28minutes, is still open.

Skyler’s biggest worry at the time of his death, and he talked to his father about it on the morning of his accident, was that he would not reach his £1,300.00 target set by the Autistic Society for his charity place. To date he has raised £4,666.00 and his family is tremendously proud of what he has managed. They would really like the final total raised to exceed £5,000 and if any club members would like to log on and donate his family would be extremely grateful. Just click this link and it will take you to his page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SkylerHadley.

His tragic death has been a great loss to his parents and has had a profound effect on his two sisters and younger brother. No amount of money will bring him back but if we can help the Autistic Society, Skyler suffered from Aspergers Syndrome, a high functioning form of autism, then his death will not have been completely in vain. All of us at Bristol & West offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
