Crest Nicholson are launching a sports trail at the Bristol Harbourside on Saturday 16th February 2013: it is a running route with a series of measured marked distances -100m , 200m, 400m 800m and a mile. It will be a day of sport and fun with 2 running opportunities and a family mile event that will suit all ages and fitness levels. They would be delighted if you would come along and join in. There are prizes for the challenge races and balloons/treats for the family event and a free prize draw for all the runners on the day. Bristol’s very own Olympian, Nick Rose , is launching the event and Paralympian Ben Rushgrove is also joining the launch in the morning. Run the Mile Challenge from 11am. Get 4 people – business colleagues or friends – together (each running circa 400 metes) and enter a team. Go on you can do it! There is a £250 prize and a team trophy, sponsored by Pure Gym.
There will be a Youth Challenge from 11.30am – run the full mile – raise funds for your club or school (11-17 years only, 3 levels, junior, intermediate and senior). £50 prize and trophy for the winner in each level.
The Family Mile Fun Run from 12.30pm-3pm.
Bring the family and walk or jog the course – fun for all ages.
The club will be using this event to help promote the New Harbourside Runners Group that will meet at the Planetarium at @Bristol every Wednesday night at 6 pm.
