Ashton Court Parkrun 24th November 2012

Numbers were down this week, probably because of the weather, but definitely an improvement for those who trained on Thursday night. Even the dogs weren’t impressed, as Alison Engledew will testify having had problems with a reluctant Jago.

There were 3 PBs at Ashton Court, all by ladies, with Rebecca Colquhoun and Christine Burren maintaining their consistent form; but there was an outstanding PB from Kin Cheung by 91 seconds, which earns her the Performance of the Week. These PBs were especially commendable in view of the conditions, particularly the stiff head wind after the turn.

On the tourist trail there were also PBs for George Salter, Andrew Malloy and Emma Bowers.

Congratulations to Tracy Allan on running her 50th parkrun with an Age Grade rating of 76.62%, and earning her red tee shirt.

A reminder that Alison Engledew is still collecting names, and more importantly deposits, for the Whitehall Runners Christmas function on Saturday 15th December 2012. Please contact her on a.engledew@blueyonder.co.uk if you wish to attend. This is definitely the last request.

Please identify yourselves as members of Bristol and West on the Parkrun website. It makes it easier for your correspondent in sorting out who’s who; not forgetting Chris who has to send out the individual reminders. We currently have 99 members registered as having completed runs at Ashton Court. Hopefully by next week that figure will be over 100.

Finally, please also notify any results at Parkruns other than Ashton Court and Little Stoke to roger.brocklesby@btopenworld.com . There are currently Parkruns at 192 locations, so that takes some time to search.

Many thanks to Roger your Parkrun Reporter
