An Introduction to 10k Racing event has been booked for Whitehall Athletics Arena on Sunday 4th March 2012. The event timings will be as follows:
10.45 a.m. – Meet & Greet (Whitehall Arena Tea Room).
11.00 a.m. – Run (30, 45 and 60 minute groups with guide, ability based, routes will be planned beforehand).
12 noon – Shower/change (if required).
12.30 p.m. – Lunch (please bring sandwiches/cold drinks – teas and coffees can be provided)
1 p.m. – 1.45 p.m. – ‘The Scientific Basis of Training and Practical Steps to Injury Prevention’ Chris Elson presentation and discussion
1.45 p.m. – 2.30 p.m. – ‘Running a Good 10k – An Art or A Science’ Keith Brackstone presentation and discussion
2.30 p.m. – Questions and Answers for those who wish to remain.
Anyone who is interested in attending is asked to contact Keith Brackstone by email beforehand – there is limited space at Whitehall and we might need to limit numbers if the event proves too popular – it is aimed at first-timers planning to compete in this year’s Bristol 10k on Sunday 20th May 2012.
