Ashton Court Parkrun – 7th January 2012

Chris Elson thought Christmas would weigh heavily on the times of today’s Ashton Court Park run but he was wrong – eleven people recorded course PBs! The highlight was Andy Butterly with 30.11 – an improvement of 1 minute 12seconds on his course PB and an almighty 8 minutes since his first run in April 2011. First back for Bristol & West AC Whitehall Runners was Mo Osman in twelfth place overall knocking 29 seconds off his course PB with 20.22 and Dave Engledew first M50 not far behind (20.31). Carron Downer was first M55 and knocked 30 seconds off his course PB in 21.41 while Tom Burgess completed our hat trick of age group firsts leading the M60s home in 22.10, a course PB by 44 seconds. Sarah Everitt was first lady home missing her course PB by 1 second in 22.16 followed by Helen Brookes second lady in 22.30 and another big course PB by a full 30 seconds. Ben Arlett knocked 2 minutes 2seconds off his course PB with 23.22, Paul Cooke continued his upward flight with a course PB by 10 seconds in 23.46 followed by Jacob Butterly (23.50) and Becci Colquhoun who was fifth lady in 24.49. The battle for M55 places continued with Noel Arthur second M55 in another huge course PB by 33 seconds in 25.16 and Roger Brocklesby third M55 recording 23.34 shaving 2 seconds off his course PB. Catherine Stickler was eighth lady and improved her course PB by 1 second in 25.36, Lebert Scarlett did 26.12, Alison Engledew was 14th lady in 27.17 and Seamus McCann did 32.11 a course PB by 6 seconds.
