Chris Doe Runs Big PB in Florence

Globe trotting club marathon runner Chris Doe took almost 13 minutes off his marathon PB when clocking 2:46:11 for the Florence Marathon on Sunday 27th November 2011. Chris – who joined the club via the Whitehall Recreational Running Group and soon graduated to Chris Elson’s Tuesday and Thursday sessions – showed the benefits from the club’s philosophy that to run better Half-Marathons and Marathons you should build up your speed through 5 and 10k races as well as your endurance base to tackle the 26+ miles of the marathon.

In his earlier trips around Europe Chris Doe had run 3:36:38 in Berlin on 20th September 2009, 2:59:08 in Paris on 11th April 2010 and 3:00:11 in Stockholm on 5th June 2010.
