The Melksham 10 mile road race is coming up on Sunday 18th September starting at 10:00 from King George V Playing Fields in Melksham, Wiltshire. The course is certified for accuracy and is run under a permit from the ARC, this year the event will also benefit from precision chip timing courtesy of DB Max.
The course is also very scenic as it winds through the West Wiltshire countryside and takes runners through the historic village of Lacock, the setting for many period dramas. The course holds the potential for fast times, boasting course records of 52:35 for Men and 60:15 for Ladies.
Entries are open at http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/viewevent.asp?sp=&v=2&EN=61766&ms= with prizes being awarded to the winners of the V40, V50 & V60 age categories. There are also prizes up for grabs for the first team of 4-male runners and first team of 3-Ladies. All finishers will receive a memento of the event. Entries will be available on the day up to 09:30 subject to the race limit.
