Race the Train – Snowdonia National Park – Saturday 20th August 2011

Can you out run a train in this world famous endurance challenge? Race the Train returns for 2011, taking place at Talylln Railway in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park on Saturday 20th August 2011.

The course is both on and off road, using a variety of terrain which will take you through the wet and mud, up and down steep tracks and footpaths in order to beat that train home! Family and friends can buy their ticket and climb on board to cheer you on. With a variety or course lengths from 3.5 miles to 14 miles, there’s a race for everyone!

This year Race the Train has chosen Marie Curie Cancer Care as its charity of the year. Marie Curie nurses provide high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other life threatening illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. The money you raise by racing the train will help continue to provide this service to families when they need it most. All Marie Curie runners will receive a Daffodil welcome pack, giving hints and tips on training and fundraising and contains a unique NIKE DriFit technical running vest.
