Robbie Bugden continued to squeeze in as many races as he can prior to his ankle operation and Bath saw a fine performance as he finished sixth in the race and first Briton home in 65.16. On track for a sub-65 clocking for much of the race Robbie saw that barrier just slip away in the last two miles. Nevertheless he described himself pleased with the performance.
Another club athlete who performed exceptionally well was Lucy MacAlister who finished fourth in a strong women’s field in a Personal Best of 73.42 as she continues her build up for the Brighton Marathon in April. The women’s race was won by Kenyan Edith Chelimo in 71.25 with Alyson Dixon second (72.31) and Louise Damen third (72.43). Behind Camilla Briggs showed good form the week before the English Masters cross-country finishing 21st in 83.03, whilst Vicky Tester was 27th in 84.18. Julia Beyavin finished with a chip time of 87.40.
