Avon Network Hosting Four Courses at Bath University on Saturday 2nd April 2011

The following four workshops being held at the University of Bath Sports Training Village (STV), Claverton Down, Bath on SATURDAY 2nd APRIL 2011.
 
The first is from 10.00 – 11.30am on the Basics of Discus and Shot Putt. This is for inexperienced and beginner coaches, interested parents and coaches experienced in another event area looking to broaden their coaching knowledge. Coaches are invited to bring one suitable athlete with them if it will help them with their subsequent delivery. 
 

The second workshop is from 11.45 – 13.15 on the Basics of Running & Speed. This is for inexperienced and beginner coaches, interested parents and coaches experienced in another event area looking to broaden their coaching knowledge. Coaches are invited to take an active part in this session and also to bring one suitable athlete with them if it will help them with their subsequent delivery. 

 
The third is from 14.00 – 15.30 on Dynamic Lifting Techniques. This is for coaches with some lifting experience and is designed to follow on from the two S&C workshops run at Bath before Christmas, but attendance at these is not a prerequisite to attend this course. As above coaches are invited to bring a suitably conditioned and experienced athlete with them to take a practical role in the session.
 

The fourth workshop is from 15.45 – 17.15 on Basics of Long & Triple Jump. This is for inexperienced and beginner coaches, interested parents, and coaches experienced in another event area looking to broaden their coaching knowledge. Coaches are invited to bring one suitable athlete with them if it will help them with their subsequent delivery. 

 
For all of these workshops the cost per person per workshop will be £5, payable on the day.
