Champion Run For Children’s Hospice South West

You may have seen in local or national press about Wells City Harrier John Reynolds who is planning an astounding feat to support Children’s Hospice South West. He will be running from one of their hospices, near Barnstaple, to the other one near Bristol, a total of 110 miles, non stop – the equivalent of 4 full marathons. This will start at 13.00 Wednesday 29th April from Barnstaple, and finish at 16.15 on Thursday 30th at Bristol.

At the start of the run, John will be joined by Jo Pavey, one of the great British hope for the 2012 Olympics.

The challenge is to raise a significant amount of personal and corporate sponsorship for this very worthwhile charity, which survives entirely on public and private donations. It will also help towards the building on a new hospice planned for Cornwall.

Children’s Hospice South West are inviting all runners in the South West to join in this incredible event by running a ten mile leg, and raising a modest amount of sponsorship. The key is to get lots of people involved! All abilities can join us, as John will need to be running at a very slow pace that many can keep up with.
