In Bath, Cameron Walker-Shepperd set yet another pb at 4.60 and both Lucy and Luke Bailey shot to the top of the rankings with great performances. Luke improved from 4.02 to 4.05 to take him ahead of Tom Gibson who like me made the mistake of going to Cardiff. Tom managed 4.01 while the one legged budgie, Martin Davies, did 3.01. But the star of the weekend must be Lucy Bryan. She was second before today just behind Hannah Grubb of Team Bath. She started the day on 3.00m but went to 3.10 then 3.25 and finished the day on 3.30. She only got onto a bigger pole on Wednesday and even made the quote of “this pole is going to kill me”, to now find herself miles clear of the rest. Then lets not forget the other oldie, Steve West who did 3.15, Ruby Juan 2.25 and then, wait for it, after almost 7 months out of the sport,it was a welcome return to Tony Hillier. He managed 4.20,well done Tone.
