It is sad to report that Joan Hill, wife of our Vice President Fred Hill who passed away just over a year back, is seriously ill in Frenchay Hospital, Ward 23, having suffered a stroke and a heart attack on Saturday morning 8th November. On Monday we learned that she had suffered a further stroke plus another heart attack and that her son was by her side.
Mrs Anne Smith, widow of Ken, both ex-Club members who moved away to the Midlands in 1972/3, is ill and has been in hospital for the last three weeks. That is Walsgrave Hospital, Ward 42 (Blue Area), Clifford Bridge Road, Coventry, West Midlands, CV2 2DX (tel 0247 6602020). She is known in the hospital as Jean.
Life Member Tom Clark is also quite unwell having just moved into a retirement home.
We wish them all well.
